Qantas’ Antarctic Sightseeing Charter Flights: What To Know

Qantas is the flag carrier of Australia and the third oldest continuously operating airline in the world. Uniquely, Qantas flies to all seven of the world’s continents: Australia, Asia, Europe, Africa, North America, South America, and Antarctica. While Qantas’ flights don’t touch down and land in Antarctica, they offer sightseeing tours in Boeing 787 Dreamliners before returning back to Australia. It’s unclear what parts of Antarctica they fly over, although it’s worth noting Australia claims 42% of Antarctica through its Australian Antarctic Territory. Here is what to know about Qantas’ flights to the frozen southern continent.
