The latest member of the Boeing 777 family, the 777X, is a long-range, widebody, twin-engine jetliner offered by Boeing to both commercial and private operators. The 777X program was proposed in 2010, followed by the formal launch in November 2013. Powered by brand-new General Electric GE9X engines, the 777X program offers three variants: the 777-8 and 777-9 passenger variants and the 777-8F freighter version.
