Exclusive: Sydney slots will be world’s most transparent, says ACL

The facility, funded by $8 million in Victorian government investment, will operate 24/7 and be able to handle 100,000 tonnes of freight per year, compared to the 10,000 tonnes of freight processed at Avalon’s existing facilities in 2023.

Speaking at the Herald Sun’s Future Victoria event on Wednesday, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese confirmed that the Commonwealth will help foot the bill for the long-delayed project, including a mixture of new and existing funding.
