Carly Wilson, Rail Standards and Asset Management Specialist, RISSB has opened the one day workshop held in Perth.
The workshop is tailored to those looking for a detailed guide, or fresh perspectives on the rail turnouts challenges of track construction, signalling of turnouts, maintenance and management. Experts within the industry will explore innovative solutions to the real challenges faced and work towards industry solutions.
“Turnouts are an integral part of track infrastructure,” she said.
“These events allow the industry to find the future of rail turnouts and understand how it may look.”
This years event has seen an overall increase in attendees with the majority coming from Western Australia and Queensland and even some international attendees.
We have seen an increase in diversity with more women in attendance,” Wilson said.
“We are also seeing a larger numbers of those under 35 in attendance for these events.
“I would like to thank our partners and sponsors for their support.”
