A woman had to be rescued after impaling her arm on a school fence in Sydney’s northwest.
Paramedics, Fire Rescue NSW and police were called to Riverstone High School on Saturday morning.
On arrival, they discovered a woman “dangling by her left arm” on the fence of the school, NSW Ambulance inspector Nathan Sheraton said.
Tradies nearby stepped in to help, offering up a ladder for the woman, aged in her 30s, to stand on to help relieve the pressure.
Sheraton said the woman was conscious and alert but in a lot of pain.
“It’s evident that the fence tore some of the flesh which caused significant pain to her,” he said.
