Melbourne Airport has been voted the best airport in Australia and the Pacific

Melbourne Tullamarine has been voted the best airport in Australia and the Pacific at the Skytrax World Airport Award for the third time in a row.

It’s also the fifth time in six years Melbourne has taken home the prize, with previous wins in 2020 and 2021.

The awards held in Madrid are judged by a customer satisfaction survey that assesses more than 565 airports across the globe. Melbourne Airport CEO Lorie Argus said the hard work of airport staff was a key a factor in the win.

Imagine how much better it will be with a train to the Airport from Melbourne and regional Victorian cities. The saga of a train to the Melbourne Airport should never have happened. It should have been built years ago.

Avalon Airport is also an opportunity for passenger rail.

  1. Surely this is parody??

It’s the most horrific and inefficient airport I’ve experienced (and I go through a LOT of airports).

This is a joke of an award.

  2. Rubbish! It’s not April Fools.

Melb is a dirty sh*thole mess of an airport. It’s disorganised, dirty and foul.

It houses the rudest staff, and don’t get me started on the women who screech at you at Border Control….
