Milan is undeniably a fascinating city when it comes to its airport system. The city’s principal international gateway, Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP), services the vast majority of long-haul traffic headed towards the facility, and it is the arrival point for most international airlines. Milan Bergamo Airport (BGY), which is located more than an hour’s drive away near the city of Bergamo, is the principal gateway for most ultra-low-cost carriers that fly to Milan.
