It has been a tough couple of years for Qantas, even though it posted record profits of AU$2.47 billion ($1.65b) in 2022/23. The acute media and public interest in Australia's flag carrier has dimmed of late so it was a refreshing change this week to read about what the airline is doing in the sustainability and community sectors.
