The ATSB has issued another warning about removing pitot probe covers after a Singapore Airlines A350-900 almost pushed back with the covers still fitted.
The 787-9 service will be put on hold from 31 March to 25 October due to what Air New Zealand describes as “ongoing challenges with the availability of serviceable Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines” that power its Dreamliner fleet.
The TWU says the four-hour flight, which carried the Fremantle Dockers AFL team home from Launceston to Perth on Saturday, 13 July, ran out of water after around half an hour, disabling the toilets and posing a “significant health and safety risk”.
