The United States Air Force is working on Project Mayhem to develop a hypersonic bomber that can carry and operate missiles at speeds over Mach 10. The project is primarily based on achieving exceptionally high speeds – beyond the reach of enemy aircraft, missiles, and attacks. With advanced surveillance and radar technologies in place, speed is considered an essential defense tool for the future.
