India’s armed forces, in a joint effort using Indian Air Force and Indian Navy assets like Indian Navy Marine Commandoes (MARCOs) parachuting from a C-17, were able to take over a floating pirate base and release all 17 hostages. Also involved was the INS Kolkata, a guided-missile destroyer, plus drones, plus a P-8I Poseidon.
