In 1975, Japan Airlines found itself amid the most infamous food poisoning incident in aviation history, when infected food caused dozens of passengers on a special flight to suffer from diarrhea. Staphylococcus aureus bacteria was found in the food served during flight, and an executive at the company providing the food killed himself after learning about the incident, as noted by Business Insider.
