Nestled in the depths of the South Pacific lies the island archipelago of New Zealand, home to just over five million inhabitants. While Air New Zealand steals most of the limelight as the nation's largest carrier, there is a flurry of small regional airlines filling in the niche of small routes to places you may have never even heard of. Being the only Simple Flying journalist with boots on the ground in Aotearoa, I decided to look at some of our nation's aviation backbone.
