Veon sells off majority stake in Beeline Kyrgyzstan

Southeastern Europe-focused telecoms player United Group reportedly lined up potential buyers for its operations, with aims to gain €8 billion (US$8.57 billion) from potential sales, reported Bloomberg.

Maxis CEO Goh Seow Eng said on Friday that the telco is ready to sign off on its share subscription agreement (SSA) to take a stake in 5G wholesaler Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) and aims to play a major role in deploying Malaysia’s second 5G network.

Digicel Samoa announced on Monday that it has been granted conditional approval from the Government of Samoa to launch 5G technology, and is already working with Nokia to upgrade its cell tower sites.
