The United States Air Force is a massive organization. The Air Force claims to employ over 689,000 personnel in total. This number includes active duty airmen (around 322,000) plus civilian personnel, reserve airmen, Air National Guard airmen, and Civil Air Patrol auxiliarists. Some of these jobs are easy for anyone to do, while others require years of intensive training, e.g. it takes years of training to become a qualified pilot.
