Despite Papua New Guinea being Australia's closest neighbor, getting from Sydney to the capital, Port Moresby, has not been a quick flight. That all changed yesterday when Qantas launched its first nonstop flight from Sydney to Papua New Guinea in more than 50 years, bringing to an end a tiresome transit in Brisbane.
