Wednesday 3rd – Bit of this and bit of that

With so many things on the move, it was bits and pieces of a day.

I heard it, so had to get outside, my first train this year.

A rare photo of Ian, he is cleaning radiators due to go back into 1675.

1675, Rex and Gerry moving on with the battery carrier, it is a one off precision construction.

This was a little earlier, removing redundant brackets with the gas axe! Yes my overalls are flame retardant .

…… and so to 13326, the brake linkage is going back on, the studs are threaded and brazed into position.

Simon is fitting out the North end, although we have to do a few adjustments to the door fit.

Attending to a HSE matter, re-labelling the gas locker outside  …. just the one cylinder.

….. dashing upstairs to upholstery, the team are working on seats for 4798 ……

Back in the main workshop, a very useful addition to the tools, very sturdy and mobile.

We get requests from other departments, here Steve is making two metal channels for building maintenance.

Bob is making gas locker doors for 1675.

…… welding repairs to other door assemblies.

…… Ben and David discussing further work in 1675.

This is Dave working in the South vestibule of 1675, it is beginning to take shape.

I am not sure what Trevor is working on here, but all small steps are turning into big steps.
A very busy day …..
Many thanks to Gerry and Eve for the excellent photos.
