Passengers are urged to plan ahead this weekend, 13-14 April, as essential Rail Repair Plan track work continues to build a more resilient and reliable network in New South Wales.
Across the weekend, buses will replace trains between Hornsby and Wynyard on the T1 North Shore Line.
On the T1 Western and T2 Leppington Lines, buses will replace trains between Parramatta and Olympic Park on Saturday from 4am to 5am, Sunday from 4am to 9am, and again from 8.30pm to 2am.
On the T3 Bankstown Line, buses replace trains between Cabramatta, Lidcombe and Sydenham. On Saturday from 4am to 5am and Sunday from 4am to 9am, buses will also replace trains between Lidcombe and Olympic Park.
The T7 Olympic Park Line will see buses replace trains between Olympic Park and Lidcombe on Saturday from 4am to 5am and Sunday from 4am to 9am. Some of those buses will be continuing to Parramatta.
Sydney Trains will have around 879 workers undertaking a significant amount of work over this period, including turnout renewal, Sydney Harbour Bridge decking, drainage, signal commissioning and track circuit renewal, as well as the removal of 20 high-priority defects.
Some trains may run to changed stopping pattern and timetable. Passengers may need to change trains and are encouraged to allow extra travel time and plan ahead by visiting transportnsw.info or using trip planning apps.
Sydney Trains thanks our passengers for their patience as we work to build a more resilient and reliable network.
Intercity
Following last week’s extreme weather, urgent track repairs are required on the South Coast Line. Buses will replace trains between Wollongong and Waterfall on both Saturday and Sunday. This flood recovery work will help us restore regular timetabled services on the South Coast Line as quickly as possible.
On Saturday from 4am to 5.30am, Sunday from 4am to 9am, and 9pm to 2am, trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Blacktown only. Passengers should change at Penrith for express buses to Olympic Park.
The Southern Highlands Line will see buses replace the 8.05am Moss Vale to Campbelltown and the 10.09am Campbelltown to Moss Vale services on Saturday 13 April.
Metro
On both Saturday and Sunday, buses will replace Metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood on the Metro North West Line due to planned trackwork and testing for the upcoming metro extension into the Sydney CBD.
