Kent heritage railway to celebrate 50th anniversary with first Diesel Gala in 14 years

To celebrate the Kent & East Sussex Railway’s 50th anniversary, this weekend from 12th to 14th April it is holding its first Diesel Gala in 14 years.

Kent railway reintroduces Elm Trees to the British countryside

The Kent & East Sussex Railway is reintroducing Elm trees to the British countryside after their disappearance in the 1970s due to Dutch Elm Disease.

They carried out improvements to a station master’s house and cleaned train carriage windows.

The Kent and East Sussex Railway saw its highest post-pandemic gala visitor numbers.
