Last year, on a flight on a National Jet Systems, under the QantasLink brand, those in the cockpit started to feel ill due to a chlorine-like odor. The flight, QF1541, had been operating from Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport (SYD) to Hobart, Tasmania (HBA) with five crew and 54 passengers onboard, experienced on approach to the Tasmanian capital, noticed the odor. The captain, who could no longer handle the smell, assessed himself as unfit to fly.
