It was a difficult morning for Alaska Airlines, which encountered a major operational disruption due to a software error that led to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grounding all its flights. At roughly 10:30 AM Eastern time, the FAA ordered a ground stop for all flights operated by the carrier and its subsidiary Horizon Air.
