76 Year Old Russian Ayaks Hypersonic Jet Scientist Sentenced To 7 Years For Passing Secrets

Russian hypersonic scientist Alexander Kuranvo has become the largest of a spree of Russian scientists convicted for selling technology to foreign agents. Kuranvo worked in Russia's hypersonic sector on the Soviet-era Ayaks hypersonic vehicle (still under development). Countries that consider themselves the world's great or superpowers are rushing to produce hypersonic missiles and vehicles (hypersonic describes missiles and aircraft traveling 5 to 25 times the speed of sound). The United States is developing its own suite of hypersonic vehicles such as Project Mayhem (a hypersonic bomber planned to travel at speeds of over Mach 10).
