Sydney Trains is undertaking significant trackworks across its network as part of the Rail Repair Plan, taking place over the 23-24 March weekend.
Sydney Trains will have around 751 workers undertaking a significant amount of work over this period including ballast cleaning, track reconditioning, signal upgrade, bridge refurbishment, rail grinding and overhead wire renewal as it removes six high-priority defects.
Across the weekend, buses will replace trains on the T3 Bankstown Line between Cabramatta, Lidcombe and Sydenham for work on the Sydney Metro City & Southwest project as well as maintenance work.
The T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line will see buses replace trains between Cronulla and Sutherland on both Saturday and Sunday as part of Sydney Trains project work.
