The aviation community learned about the development of the Global Bombardier Express in October 1991. Five years later, in October 1996, it first took to the skies, and the aircraft entered service in July 1999. The Global Express was improved with greater range at high speed, fast fueling capability, upgraded cabins, and a much better takeoff performance.
