🚞 Dapol O Gauge Class 121 & 122s Due Soon

Dapol have advised that their latest production run of Class 121 & Class 122 ‘Bubble Car’ diesel multiple units in O gauge have now arrived in the UK! We expect all of these to arrive within the next week or so.

This new batch covers a range of BR green, BR blue and Network SouthEast liveried units, including running numbers and variations not covered previously. All models are available either digital ready, decoder fitted or digital sound fitted.

Prototype Information

The class 121 and 122 (also known as “Bubble Cars”) formed part of the first generation of British DMU’s. These units were designed to run on branch lines and secondary routes and were ideal for stations that were not able to have run-round loops due to space.

The class 121 units were built in 1960 by Pressed Steel and the class 122 were built in 1958 by Gloucester RC& W. Lots of these units are still in preservation.
