In a historic congressional event at September 12, 2023, Mexican lawmakers were presented with extraordinary testimony and purported evidence challenging the notion that humanity is alone in the universe. The gathering, known as FANI (a Spanish acronym for Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena or UAP), featured the showcasing of two unusual artifacts. These artifacts, presented by veteran UFO enthusiast and journalist Jaime Maussan, were suggested to be the remains of extraterrestrial beings.
The specimens, housed in display cases, exhibited characteristics distinct from any known terrestrial life. With three fingers on each hand and elongated heads, they bore an enigmatic appearance. Maussan claimed these alleged extraterrestrial remains were discovered near the ancient Nazca Lines in Peru in 2017 and dated to be around 1,000 years old through carbon dating conducted by Mexico’s National Autonomous University (UNAM).
While similar discoveries in the past often turned out to be the remains of mummified children, Maussan asserted that this presentation marked the first time such evidence had been brought forth. The startling claim left observers with a profound sense of wonder and curiosity, with Maussan emphasizing the need for scientific institutions to explore this mystery further.
Jose de Jesus Zalce Benitez, Director of the Scientific Institute for Health of the Mexican navy, revealed that comprehensive examinations, including X-rays, 3-D reconstruction, and DNA analysis, had been conducted on the remains. His statement resolutely declared that the presented bodies bore no resemblance to human beings.
Notably, UNAM issued a statement reaffirming that their 2017 work was solely aimed at determining the samples’ age, without drawing conclusions about their origin.
Additionally, former U.S. Navy pilot Ryan Graves, who had previously shared his experiences with Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) in U.S. Congressional hearings, addressed the gathering. The discussion touched on the stigma surrounding such sightings and the necessity for open discourse.
Congressman Sergio Gutierrez expressed hope that this remarkable hearing would pave the way for similar discussions in Mexico, leaving attendees with reflections and the aspiration to continue exploring this intriguing frontier.
This event occurred in the wake of a shift in U.S. government attitudes toward UAP, with the Pentagon actively investigating reported sightings and NASA initiating a groundbreaking panel to study UFOs. NASA is set to share findings from this study in the coming days.
While this presentation captured the imaginations of many, it also drew swift criticism from skeptics who questioned the authenticity of the evidence, leading to concerns about the potential impact on the credibility of the subject matter.
