When Boeing first developed the 757 series more than four decades ago, engineers were likely unaware of how successful the aircraft type would prove to be in the industry. With a successful legacy, several airlines worldwide have fallen in love with the series due to its unique versatility and exceptional performance. Despite series production ending 20 years ago, the 757 continues to operate today, albeit with fewer carriers than during the types peak years. Primarily flown by US carriers, the aircraft has remained significant in Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines operations.
