FAA Suggests Airlines Conduct Inspections Of Door Plugs On Boeing 737-900ER Aircraft

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) recommended late Sunday to airlines that operate the Boeing 737-900ER that door plugs on mid-exits of the variant should be “visually” inspected. It comes amid the ongoing fallout from the Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9 incident earlier this month that led to the grounding of more than 170 examples of the aircraft type.
