Since the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions on the aviation industry were halted, the private aviation industry has been relatively consistent. However, per JetSpy, the overall flight time across all FAA-registered business jets experienced a slight decrease in 2023. There was a 4% decrease in total flight time or a reduction of nearly 170,000 hours. This was most likely due to economic factors or increased commercial aviation flights.
