Qantas safety video bad for emergencies, argues FAAA

The airline’s new safety video stands in contrast to one released by Qantas earlier this year, which was loaded with location shots but criticised for not having any scenes on an actual aircraft.

Starting 10 September, Qantas will fly three 737-800 services per week from Brisbane to Port Vila, with the capacity for up to five based on demand, while Jetstar will begin up to four weekly flights from Sydney to Port Vila on 12 December.

The mid-life aircraft, to be sourced from an unnamed international carrier, will enter service from the end of the 2024 calendar year, bringing QantasLink’s total Q400 fleet to 45. Each will have 78 seats, compared to 74 for QantasLink’s existing Q400s…
