Due to essential trackwork, passengers are urged to plan ahead this weekend, 25-26 May.

Passengers are urged to plan ahead this weekend, 25-26 May, as essential Rail Repair Plan trackwork continues to build a more resilient and reliable network.

Buses will replace trains across the weekend on the T2 Inner West & Leppington Line and on the T5 Cumberland Line between Cabramatta and Granville.

Travel into the city for Vivid Sydney will not be heavily impacted by trackwork with an additional 400 train services on offer over the duration of the event.

Sydney Trains will have around 783 workers carrying out a significant amount of work over this period, including track reconstruction, rerailing and platform reconstruction.

Some trains may run to changed stopping pattern and timetable. Passengers may need to change trains and are encouraged to allow extra travel time and plan ahead by visiting transportnsw.info or using trip planning apps.

Intercity

On the South Coast Line, buses will replace trains between Port Kembla, Dapto and Waterfall on Saturday from 3am to 11am. Buses will also replace trains on Sunday from 2.30am to 9.50am between Bomaderry and Wollongong.
