A total of 90,000 freight trains between China and Europe have been transported as of Saturday, facilitating cargo movement, as well as boosting economic and trade development between the two regions, the service operator China State Railway Group said on Saturday.
On Saturday morning, a freight train departed from Xi’an of Shaanxi province in Northwest China and will head to Malaszewicze in Poland, marking the 90,000th such service. The journey will take about two weeks. China-Europe freight train is a flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative.
