As the last major region to recover to 100% of pre-COVID traffic levels, it is heartening to see that Asia-Pacific has broken through the 90% barrier and will likely go all the way in the coming months. The region’s international airlines have taken a relatively cautious approach to capacity management, but with the summer peak approaching, more flights are being scheduled, particularly by low-cost carriers such as Cebu Pacific, Veitjet and AirAsia.
