Aviation is an extraordinarily resilient industry, and in terms of passenger capacity, it has taken just a few years to fully recover from the devastating grounding that saw most of the world's airline fleet sitting on airport aprons or in the desert. A new report out this week forecasts that 4.7 billion passengers will fly in 2024, more than in any other year, and 1,450 new aircraft will be delivered.
