The famous driver attempted to race in the Indianapolis 500, the largest Indycar race on the schedule, before traveling across the country and racing in the Coca-Cola 600, the longest-running race on the NASCAR schedule. The Indianapolis 500 is obviously located in Indianapolis, Indiana, while the Coca-Cola 600 is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This feat, which has been nicknamed the Indy-Charlotte Double or the Memorial Day Double, is considered one of the most difficult feats in motorsport.
