6 years ago there were calls for the second metro tunnel to begin an urgent project. fast forward to 2024 and we still do not have a project and we do not have a date for delivery. Yet we have spent $28b on a road to nowhere (north east link) and wasted $billions on the Westgate tunnel project.

The tunnel should already be in planning. Melbourne is so congested.
