Taranaki bus network plan receives a lot of submissions

More than 350 submissions have been received on the Taranaki Regional Council’s proposal to refresh the region’s public transport network, but advocates using buses is giving the overhaul only a “fair” pass.

Consultation closed on Tuesday on the two proposals that cover the many routes in the New Plymouth Citylink service as well as the regional Connector and Southlink routes.

Taranaki Regional Council (TRC) transport engagement manager Cheryl Gazley said she was delighted with the response from the community to the consultation.
