WA Government all aboard on Raleigh Finlayson’s rail removal plan as a booster for local jobs

The State Government says Raleigh Finlayson’s mission to remove kilometres of Leonora railway to make way for a new gold mine “has merit” on the grounds it would create more jobs, against the backdrop of several mine closures.

But there are still plenty of discussions to be had and a raft of stakeholders that will need to all agree before the 8km of railway running across the undeveloped Tower Hill deposit in Leonora can be shifted.
