The Air Force’s premier biennial flying activity for strengthening international engagement, Exercise Pitch Black 24, will involve 20 nations and one multinational element, from 12 July to 2 August.
The device, which will see use by more than 2,250 crew members for training and assessment over the next 12 months, includes 52 fully-functioning seats across Economy, Premium Economy, and Business Premier classes.
In a submission to a Senate inquiry on the matter, the airline argued that penalties, which could be up to $20,000, should be considered annually because delays at Sydney Airport are often due to a variety of factors that aren’t known immediately.
