Nottinghamshire Station See Major Work to Improve Access

Work has commenced to improve access at Beeston Station in Nottinghamshire.

Another South London station now has step-free access

The latest railway station to have step-free access funded by the Department for Transport’s ‘Access for All’ scheme is Petts Wood in South London.

The Derbyshire station is set to see two new lifts attached to its current footbridge as part of the multi-million-pound project.

While carrying out work in connection with an Access for All’ upgrade at Walkden station, engineers discovered some historic mine shafts.
