The Boeing 757 is a narrowbody commercial airliner designed and developed by Boeing in the late 1970s. The first variant, the 757-200, completed its maiden flight in February 1982 and entered commercial service with Eastern Air Lines in January 1983. Designed to replace the 727 trijet, the original 757-200 became the most successful variant of the 757 family.
