Tended and MacRail join forces to tackle Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge for the Railway Children charity

Tended and MacRail have announced that they are joining forces to undertake the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on May 17th, 2024, in support of the Railway Children charity. This collaborative effort aims to raise vital funds and awareness for vulnerable children around the world.

The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge is a renowned endurance event that involves conquering the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, covering a distance of approximately 40 kilometres (24 miles) and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent. Tended, a leader in safety technology solutions, and MacRail, a leading railway infrastructure company, are joining forces and taking on this challenge to build awareness and raise as much money as possible for their chosen charitable cause.

The Railway Children charity works tirelessly to protect and support children who are at risk of exploitation, homelessness, and abuse on the streets. By participating in this challenge, Tended and MacRail aim to educate people on the charity’s goals and the social challenges it addresses, as well as help make a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable children.

Leo Scott Smith, CEO of Tended said: “Tended is incredibly proud to partner with MacRail for this initiative. The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge presents a unique opportunity for us to push our limits while raising awareness and funds for such a worthy cause. By working together and combining our reach and audiences we can support the Railway Children charity and help make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children.”

Adam Crago, Managing Director of MacRail said: “We’re looking forward to joining forces with the Tended team this May, and climbing for a worthy cause. By taking on The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge together, we hope to amplify our collective voice and raise crucial funds in support of the Railway Children charity.”

The joint effort of Tended and MacRail underscores their shared values of corporate social responsibility and community engagement. Through this partnership, they aim to inspire others to join the cause and contribute to the welfare of vulnerable children globally.
