On Saturday, July 20, volunteers Dwight Maxey, Colin Mellin, Bruce Davis, Chris Pollard, Abel Erber and Paul Brown worked to replace three more cross ties in our main running track. With the high temperature only heading into the 80’s, the crew was not effected by the heat as much this week. We completed this work in time to grab some lunch.
After lunch, we did some various work around the shop. Chris was seen cleaning up a tree branch that had fallen out of our large elm tree. Bruce was found installing windows that he rebuilt into the C&W caboose. Dwight worked on repairing a deadbolt lock on the AT&SF caboose. Abel was seen assisting all three through the afternoon.
I have included a few photos of the action today.
