Boeing has been awarded the contract to enhance the new KC-46A Pegasus tanker fleet. In-air refueling is one of the critical enablers of the US Air Force, and the United States is home to around half of the world’s aerial tanker fleet. The Boeing KC-46 Pegasus was developed from the 767 jet airliner and was selected in 2011 to replace the Air Force’s aging fleet of Boeing KC-135 Stratotankers.
