RailFreight Summit, the flagship event for rail freight professionals in Central and Eastern Europe, is preparing for its 7th edition. The event will take place between 15-17 April 2024 in Warsaw, Poland. This year’s main theme, “Accelerating Central Europe Connections,” will focus on how the CEE can optimise its rail transport role by grasping existing and emerging opportunities.
The conference programme is shaping up with expert speakers preparing to address key industry issues on the event’s second day (16 April). Apart from the conference, though, the RailFreight Summit 2024 will have two more highlights that should not be missed: the Networking Dinner and the site tour at the PCC Intermodal Terminal in Kutno.
Networking opportunities
A staple and favoured tradition of the consecutive editions of the RailFreight Summit in Poland, the networking dinner, will be back this year, too. After the end of the conference programme on 16 April, participants will have the chance to engage in one of the most crucial elements of the event: Networking.
Between 18:00 and 21:00, delegates will gather together, enjoy their dinner and drinks in a formal setting, and get an opportunity to discuss the day’s topics further, explore business opportunities, and, most importantly, have fun. The dinner takes place at ‘SELAVI Restaurant & Bar’, which is located just a 2-minute walk from the event venue. More information about the networking dinner can be found here.
Site tour in PCC Intermodal Terminal Kutno
Part of the programme of RailFreight Summit 2024 is a site tour at the PCC Intermodal Terminal in Kutno. The terminal in Kutno, thanks to stable and regular intermodal connections, enables fast and cost-optimized handling operations for containers travelling between Poland, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Ukraine and Italy.
The terminal is connected twice daily with Polish seaports, Rotterdam, Hamburg/Bremerhaven, Antwerp and Duisburg, while it also serves Poland’s most important economic regions on a daily basis.
The site tour at the PCC Intermodal Terminal in Kutno will take place on 17 April, the third and final day of the event. Participants will depart in groups from Sofitel Warsaw Victoria Hotel at 08:30. On the way back, participants can choose whether to be dropped off at the departure point or the Warsaw airport. More information about the site tour can be found here.
Conference and more
As mentioned, the RailFreight Summit 2024 will take place between 15 and 17 April 2024 in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. On the evening of 15 April, a welcoming reception with drinks will be held so that delegates can acquaint and network with each other before the official programme starts.
On 16 April, we will kick off the event’s conference programme at Sofitel Warsaw Victoria Hotel. The conference day will include plenary and breakout sessions, networking breaks and drinks, while it will close with a seated, multiple-course networking dinner. The event will end on 17 April with a site visit at the PCC Intermodal Terminal in Kutno.
