Was the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony an attack on Christianity or art?

Two schools of thought. This is art and we should roll with the pageantry and accept that art is an expression at a period in time or was this a designed running down of Christianity?

Either way it is sure to be talked about for a long time to come. Much has been said about this performance on social media, whether it be the deliberate wardrobe malfunction during a performance or the attempt to recreate the last supper of Jesus Christ.

Below are just some of the comments furnished today as feedback on the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

I will NOT watch the Olympic Games whilst ever this vile parody of Jesus’s Last Supper is deemed acceptable by the organisers.

This is a flagrant attack on the whole of Christianity!

Utterly disgusting.

Can you imagine gathering your kids together to watch and that crap comes on?

Should be a family friendly event showcasing athletes from around the world. Not a sick sexualised show by a group of men pretending to be women. Trans women ARE men.

We won’t be watching it either except perhaps some highlights.

It’s outrageous beyond belief what the organizers have done. But then, I guess they know that.

Sick perverts.

Art is subjective in many ways and we are sure to see just how subjectively viewed this performance was over the coming days.

Should art be that controversial?

  1. The Olympics ceremony was a Satanic drag show. They were mocking God, Christians, and Christianity. I will stop this sickening Satanism on day one! No President has fought for Christians like I have! Boycott the Olympics. Christ is King.

  2. They went too far…….it was tacky and uncouth performance, why on earth is drag queens promoted in a event of prestige?

What more to mock and belittle people’s religion is low blow…

There are young children present and I think people will be demanding to organisers why they did they allow it?

As it could be seen as “grooming” the young kids by some people, Time and Place as this not a Mardi Gras…..It is a sporting event for show casing the prestigious sporting merit of Athletes.
