DOJ Asks For More Information On Pending Alaska Airlines – Hawaiian Airlines Merger

The Department of Justice has requested Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines to discuss their proposed merger. The airlines have been asked to reply promptly so the DOJ can review. Late last year, Alaska Airlines agreed to purchase Hawaiian Airlines for $18 in share cash, which valued the Honolulu-based carrier at around $1.9 million, including all its debt.
