Bridgewater Railway Station in March 2021

Bridgewater Railway Station on the disused Eaglehawk- Inglewood Vic Line, Opened 1876 closed 2007 due to flood and bridge damage.

Another flood in 2011 caused more damage to track and ballast photo’s March 2021.

Despite repeated approaches to the government to reopen this railway line for freight those requests have been ignored. Most recently V/Line disconnected access to the line at Eaglehawk making it impossible to trains to access the line and grain storage silos along its length.

  1. Why not allow grain back on this line?

It is the job of the government to make rail accessible to business and industry they are failing.
